YICHUN UNIVERSITY was originally founded in 1958. In 2000, with the approval of the Ministry of Education of China, YICHUN UNIVERSITY was upgraded to a bachelor’s degree granting university with a combination of "three specialist colleges and one school".
Our university have three campuses, covering an area of over 132 hectares. There are now 16 schools, offering 66 undergraduate programs across 10 disciplines. There are now over 1,100 full-time teachers, among whom over 40% have senior professional titles and over 87% have doctoral or master's degrees. We have multiple national and provincial-level characteristic programs and undergraduate courses, key industrial schools, and practical teaching bases, providing strong support for the growth and success of over 20,000 Chinese and international students.
Adhering to an open educational vision, we attach great importance to international cooperation and exchange and have been awarded as "National Advanced university for International Students Education", "Jiangxi Provincial Advanced Unit in Foreign Educational Affairs," and vice-chairman unit of the "Study in Jiangxi Alliance". We have strengthened cooperation with universities and institutions throughout the world, having established partnerships with more than 50 universities and institutions in over 20 countries and regions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Russia, Germany, Malaysia, India, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. We currently boast three international projects approved by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China: one Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run educational project with Samara State University of Social Sciences and Education (Russia), one Chinese Language Center (Confucius Institute model) with Lovely Professional University (India) , and one HSK Test Center.
Our international student education has witnessed steady development. Since 2006, we have started to recruit international students and has cultivated over 1,000 students from more than 10 countries including Pakistan, the United States, Malaysia, Zambia, and Tanzania. These students have studied in 7 majors including clinical medicine, veterinary medicine, international education of Chinese language, and preschool education. We insist on integrating excellent traditional Chinese culture into the education of international students.
