Focusing on Cultural Experiences, Deepening Understanding of Jiangxi’s Civilization

Jiangxi’s profound cultural heritage is showcased through diverse activities, allowing international students to immerse themselves in traditional customs. During traditional festivals, such as the 2023 Mid-Autumn Festival, students gathered to make mooncakes, reflecting on the concept of "reunion" while listening to the melody of "May We Last Long." In the 2024 Qingming Festival, the fragrance of wormwood evoked reflections on "remembering the past." During the 2025 Dragon Boat Festival, activities like "shooting the five poisons" enabled students to explore the cultural symbolism of "warding off evil and praying for blessings." The "Sino-Foreign Friendship Class" further systematically explained the cultural logic behind these festivals.

Intangible cultural heritage and regional cultural activities were equally engaging. In 2023, international students practiced calligraphy on round fans, appreciating the elegance of Chinese artistry. They learned tea ceremonies and participated in a "Fragrance Journey," experiencing the charm of Jiangxi through tea and incense. In 2024, traditional games like arrow pitching and cuju made cultural learning fun, while the Jingdezhen ceramic experience allowed them to witness the beauty of porcelain, described as "white as jade and bright as a mirror." At the "World Traditional Clothing Cultural Exchange" event, Hanfu, cheongsams, and traditional attire from various countries created a vibrant dialogue between civilizations through the art of weaving.
